All Bible texts are from the King James Version unless otherwise stated.
Recently I was surprised when I heard Christians referring to God, the One True God of the Bible, as Allah. When I questioned them on what they said their reply was that Allah was just another name for God.
If this were so, one would expect to find Allah written in the Bible. But this is not the case, not once is Allah written in the Word of God.
Allah, was the name adopted by Mahomet for the most high God of the religion he created. The Muslim creed is expressed in the words:
"There is no God but Allah, and Mahomet is the Prophet of Allah."
This sounds very similar to the first of the Ten Commandments Given by God (Eloheem) at Mount Sinai.
"And God spake all these words, saying,
I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Exodus 20:1 - 3.Eloheem one of the Hebrew words used for God is the plural form of the word Eloah. Eloheem means "gods in the ordinary sense; but spec. used (in the plural thus, esp. with the art.) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative." On the other hand, we have Allah, which is singular. This makes the two statements quoted above very, very different.
If we look at Genesis chapter 1 we can clearly see the plurality of God.
"In the beginning God (Eloheem) created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Genesis 1:1, 2."And God (Eloheem) said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." Genesis 1:26.
There are other texts which clearly show the same thing. Below is a selection.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:1 - 3."Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Matthew 1:23.
"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:" John 15:26.
"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you." John 16:13 - 15."Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" Matthew 28:19.
"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen." 2 Corinthians 13:14.
Let us take a brief look at the man who brought this god, Allah, to mankind. Mahomet, prophet of Islam and founder of the religion that bears his name. He was born in Mecca about 570 AD. When he was about 40 years old, he believed he had received, by revelation, a mission to reform the world. He gathered adherents and began to attack the idolatrous religion of the Arabs. This made him unpopular, and in 622 AD fled to Medina. There he was made welcome, and from that time his doctrines made headway. His followers increased in number and in power, and in 630 AD he returned to Mecca as a conqueror and was recognised as a prophet by all Arabia. He died in 632 AD.
So the God Allah, was introduced to mankind about 600 AD, yet Eloheem was known by the very first man that ever lived on this earth, Adam, who God (Eloheem) made on the sixth day of creation in His (plural) image.
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. . .
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. " Genesis 1:26 - 28, 31.Mahomet claimed to be a prophet, but what does the Word of God tell us about prophets:
What they say will agree with the Bible :-
Isaiah 8:20 "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."They will have visions :-
Numbers 12:6 "And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream."They will lose their strength :-
Daniel 10:8 & 9 "Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground."They will be dumb, can speak after an angel has touched their lips, will not breath, will be strengthened by an angel :-
Daniel 10:15-18 "And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,"God's words in their mouths :-
Jeremiah 1:9 "Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth."Their eyes are open during vision :-
Numbers 24:16 "He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:"They cannot reverse the words :-
Numbers 23:20 "Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it."They are unconsious of surroundings :-
2 Corinthians 12:2-4 "I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter."They must confess Christ came in the flesh :-
1 John 4:2 & 3 "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."They exalt the true God :-
Deuteronomy 13:1-4 "If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him."They will have public visions with witnesses present :-
Daniel 10:7 "And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves."
Acts 9:7 & 8 "And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus."They will have night visions :-
Daniel 2:19 & 7:1 "Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. . . In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters."They will have visions while praying :-
Acts 10:9 & 10 "On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,"
& Daniel 9:20-23 "And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God; Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to show thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision."They warn of danger :-
Acts 11:27-30 "And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch. And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar. Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea: Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul."They never take back their testimony, but rather add to it :-
Jeremiah 36:32 "Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words."God confirms their words :-
Isaiah 44:26 "That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:"Does Mahomet meet all of the above criteria for being a prophet of God? No.
Which day did God (Eloheem) give as a sanctified day of rest?
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." Exodus 20:8 - 11.God’s day of rest is the 7th day of the week, Saturday. Mahomet named Friday as Allah’s day of rest, the 6th day of the week, the day on which all the animals and man was created. There are many, many rules and regulations which Mahomet says Allah told him, which cannot be supported by the Bible. Therefore the only conclusion we can come to is that Mahomet is a false prophet, and the god Allah that he brought to the world is a false god.
In summing up, we have a number of points to ponder.
ALLAH - the name of a singular god, brought to the attention of mankind around 600 AD.
ELOHEEM - one of the Hebrew words for god, in its plural form.
MAHOMET - a self appointed prophet who thought he had a mission to reform the world, but whose teaching contradict the Word of God.
KORAN - a book written for Muslims, and not understood by many people. It also has demonic influences.
KJV BIBLE - many books compiled into one. It was written over a period of hundreds of years by various authors, but it never contradicts itself as all the authors were inspired to write what they did by the Holy Spirit. Everybody can understand the Word of God, because there is a promise in it that if we lack knowledge or understanding, we are to pray for it and God will give it to us. What a promise!
It is easy to see from the evidence presented here that Allah is not the same Person as the God of the Bible. He is a false god, promoted by a false prophet. The Creator God of the Bible, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, is the only Godhead, and the KJV Bible is the only true Word of God.
So why then, are so many people claiming today that all people worship the same god, only in different ways. There is a simple answer to this question found in the Bible. For Jesus said:
"He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." Matthew 12:30.
"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Matthew 6:24.
"For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him." 2 Corthians 11:4.
"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ." Galations 1:6, 7.The majority of people today have, without even realising it, accepted another Jesus. Therefore the majority of people do worship the same god only in different ways, that one god being Satan himself.
